I'm brewing with anticipation

My husband has begun brewing beer. We documented the entire 1st brew. He started with a Hefeweisen which is one of my favorite types of beer. I tend to like beers that are less hoppy and flavorful. I made a small photo compilation of the process.

It was quite a learning experience for the both of us. His dad was also there to help, and I really don't know how we would have done it without him. This is truly a 2 person job and I was more there for support and documentation rather than to help with the grunt work. I took pictures though!

We have since tasted this brew. It's got a little more time to do some bottle conditioning, but what we tried was good so far. Only time will tell. It's got about another week I think.

He starts his 3rd beer tomorrow and we're all very excited.

Zarra

Zarra is one of the family pets. She can be a little high strung at times which is why I was suprised I managed to get a few shots where she sat still. At one point, Zarra wanted to play fetch using a pick axe when I told her to go find a stick to bring me.

Silly Zarra

Jessica and Kris

Here are some shots of two gorgeous ladies that I took over Mothers Day weekend. Jessica is my Sister-in-law while Kris is my Mother-in-law. I consider myself pretty lucky to have married a guy who's parents I actually get along with and enjoy spending time around.

While maneuvering around the back yard, camera in hand, I caught Kris in her favorite natural habitat, gardening. She ended up growing me some vegetable plants to take home. I have a new tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber plant to add to my garden. The patio is quite full these days. ;)

Cupcakes

I love cupcakes.

Every now and then, I'll stop to make some kind of meal or dessert and take some photo's since I love food and food photography.

Today's endeavor:
CUPCAKES!

This last one is a great outtake shot that I like to call "neon party"

Editing Marathon

These past few weeks have led up to me needing to, pretty much, take a week and go on a marathon spree of editing. I've been taking photo's nonstop, but my actual output of new stuff has slowed dramatically. There shall be many new posts coming this week as I gear up for my marathon.

But for now. Happy Mothers Day All!

I did edit a new shot while I was sick this week though. I took an awesome shot of my hubs. I think I'm going to give it to my mother in law for mothers day. Shhh don't tell her.

6 mile walk sunday

A couple of weeks ago, Ryan and I took a 6 mile walk around the Redmond/Woodinville area. Here are some shots I took that day.

Theres this cute little chapel right down the road from where we live. This would be a really cute venue to shoot a wedding at.

This duck was just chillin' on the trail we were on. I took this before a little girl came and ran up behind the duck, totally scaring it away. This image makes me laugh pretty hard because the ducks eyes make it look like it is smiling or has some kind of secret that he's not givin' away.

Both of our pairs of legs were killing us after about the 5th mile, but you can't really tell by my husbands face.
