New Edits

Thought I'd share some new edits I've been working on. Here are a few more from the Brad and Erin shoot.

Hasselblad's

I figured since I've been stuck in editing land for the past two weeks, I'd take some time to make a quick blog post showing some images I got back from the lab today.

My dad has a Hasselblad 501cm with an 80mm manual focus lens. His Christmas present was for me to do a photoshoot with him. I used my Mark II for majority of the shoot, but also shot a couple using the Hasselblad. Here's the two that came out really great! My dad has a cool face.

The next day, Ryan and I took the Hass out for our afternoon horse petting session. We spend time with the horses a lot out there, because its pretty cool to hang out with these gorgeously massive, yet gentle, giants. It's not something you do everyday when you live in a bigger city.

Then there's one image that seriously makes me emotional when I look at it.

This one.

This photo epitomizes the feeling I get when I'm with them. Like there's a bigger connection with this animal then I understand. Like I am going to be fine, and it knows it, which in turn causes me to believe it. It's calming and soothing, just like each moment I spend petting, and being sniffed or nosed, by this magnificent creature. The funny thing is, I remember thinking "dang, I just got her in focus, and she goes and moves her stupid head!" haha! Little did I realize, it was the type of moment that would cause a wonderful happy accident, and thus become my favorite image from the roll.

and if my intuition serves me correct, i'd have to say.....

I'm pretty sure Ryan feels the same about the horses.
